My monster 1200s (2016) is great for long distances. Compared to my old monster 750 (1999), the 1200s is way more comfortable and of course for short distances it's a dream bike as well. Luggage racks and cases are quite expensive and not that big, but at least it's an option for a bike like this. When I'm on holiday with my 1200s, I drive ...

Fast forward two years and I ended up selling the bike moving and getting a 797. I LOVE the 797. It’s a great bike, it’s zippy, affordableish, and rocks that classic trellis frame. It’s light compared to the older bike. It’s definitely possible to do this, but I’d make sure you master the basics first. 2019 Ducati V4 R at EICMA. motorcycle. r/KitchenConfidential. Everything from the MotoGP world!Ducati’s safest option for bike development is to retain one of their two current riders to join Jack. Petrucci’s season dropped off a lot last year but he still had a reasonable championship when you look at the overall standings (if we’re looking at him as a number two rider, which he clearly was to Dovi and arguably would be to Jack.)

Ducati’s have higher maintenance costs, none is more reliable over the Honda, the Aprilia 660 and tridents are 1st year bikes so don’t if there are any bugs yet. Expect to pay around 200-300$ for an oil change if you don’t hit the 16k. Older Ducati’s require the desmo service at 7500k which is twice the frequency of newer Ducati’s. In comparison, my Harley costs 120$ per year to maintain as it needs no valve adjustment, no chain adjustment and only oil changes. Interesting bit of trivia. Yiu're right, it i a V4. Ducati used a strange firing order to emulate a Vtwin as best it could without actually firing two cylinders together. They ran the desmodromic valves. All motogp teams will run gear-driven cams, as this is far, far more accurate; timing chains stretch a little, and in adition they are at higher risk of failure.About Community. Anything and everything about the bikes from Bologna. The slightly cringe-inducing name (that is pleading to be hashtagged) If they actually called it the Ducati Scrambler #Sixty2, it might actually cross that threshold when something is so tacky it becomes cool again. Also if salesmen insisted that you pronounce "hashtag" when referring to the bike, it'd probably be the greatest thing ever.

Ergos: this is mostly preference, but I would give edge to the Scrambler. The ergos are a little more forgiving and therefore more versatile. It likely would be more comfortable overall and also on longer rides or 2-up. The monster is more aggressive for sure, but that might be what you want. Looks: both are fantastic.

Only if they own a Ducati and want a matching name scooter. You could buy any scooter and put Ducati stickers on it and it'll probably be better. The company selling escooters is a brand that licensed the Ducati name and has nothing to do other then paying Ducati to use the logo. 6. HugHuke • Xiaomi Pro2 • 2 yr. ago.

Edit: Ducati specs says the V2 0-60 is 2.8 seconds and the V4 is 2.9 seconds, (the V2 is 3.09 seconds though, I think that 2.8 is bullshit from all the other data I've seen) but I think if I remember right the 0-100 is where the V2 is actually faster. Anything and everything about the bikes from Bologna. The V2 is a very good bike with good electronics. Stability during hard braking is what impressed me the most over my 2006 999S. I ended up going for the V4* my self since engine wise the V2 wasn’t that different than my old bike to justify a swap. The Monster does get hotter under the seat than the V2 which does a better job dissipating the heat. I would strongly consider the SP and add on the Termi racing silencers. Considering mods it will be much cheaper than the V2 and you get Ohlins and a fuel gage. TheHumanDan • 1 yr. ago. Ducati has done a great job, but the Japanese' problems either come down to bad decisions, ineptitude or straight up bad luck. The way to make things reliable is the same: minimize part count, ensure maximum quality of parts, and reduce tolerances, etc. But engineering budgets are limited, and Ducati customers don’t go to Ducati looking for a reliable bike. So they put reliability at #2 or #3 at best in terms of what to spend their money on. r/motogp • "When there is a risk of going up against these conditions, I don't understand why we race at 3 o'clock when we know that at 5pm it gets dark.Get the triple, save a few grand, get a sharper machine.
